REVIEW & PROMOTION SERVICES FOR WRITERS

As a licensed business, RED OCHRE PRESS now offers a service to “review” & “promote” manuscripts to our publishing peers.

We review poetry books, fiction collections, fiction books & nonfiction books. We are also open to other forms of literature.

THE PROCESS:

We assign (4) editors to a manuscript and this always includes our editor-in-chief, Mimi Ferebee, as the Head of Project. The team assigned to your work will review your piece in a timely fashion. Mimi will work personally with you to assess your script and determine a date in which her team can thoroughly review your materials.

During that time, teams members will read your work, come together for a critical discussion, and draft a professional statement of its quality.

As a well-regarded literary press, our reviews have helped a number of writers when promoting their work. You can visit our EDITOR-IN-CHIEF PAGE for our most recent reviews.

In addition to our statements, we help promote literary work through our online and local communities. For example, as a member of the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP), we promote work to a number of publishing houses and editors.

For work that is already published, our professional connections and word-of-mouth press will undoubtedly help with your sales!

As this is our first month offering "Review & Promotion" as a paid service—in the past we held an intense selection process, picking less than a handful of scripts to review for free—we have decided to provide it to the public at a VERY reasonable discount price. A mere $12.00 USD…

And at the end of the day, much of that goes to the online system for us simply charging for the service! But the few dollars we do make will fund future literary projects.

Right now, we are urging writers to take advantage of this price, as our Board of Directors have only approved a two month financial grace period. This price will mostly likely rise in the future—which makes sense as it is currently a lot of service for a very small fee. But the heart of our foundation is resoiling the grains of literature and our team is committed to this despite the financial reaping!
